Hope 58 Community Interest Company (“Hope 58”) is a Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales with Companies House (company number 16460550) and with the Office of the Regulator of Community Interest Companies. When filling in forms on our websites, through our App, at events and activities we run, including when you join or re-register at a Pop Up Pantry shop, as a customer if you pay for goods or services we provide, or when you correspond with us by phone, email or letter. It includes information you provide when you complete a printed form or use our website, participate in discussion boards or other social media functions on our website, surveys, campaigns and when you report a problem with our website. The information you give us may include your name, postal address, e-mail address, phone number, financial and credit card information, personal description and/or photographs.
  2. Information we collect about you. This may include attendance or participation at events and activities, and your use of services or facilities we provide. With regard to each of your visits to our website we will automatically collect the following information:

  7. To maintain accurate and up to date records or our employees, volunteers, members and customers

  9. To run Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks on employees and volunteers in accordance with our safeguarding and employment policies.

Where do we store and process your Personal Data?

  1. We are committed to holding your personal information securely. Only Hope 58 staff and authorised staff from our partners and sub-contractors and authorised volunteers that need to see the data can access it.
  2. We may store your information on computers, in paper form, or both.
  3. All computers that store any personal data are password protected and stored securely when not in use.
  4. Any paper files that hold personal information (other than names and contact details) are kept on secure premises.
  5. The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored by a service provider outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy and in compliance with all relevant UK data protection legislation.

  3. Employee, volunteer, customer and member data records are processed to comply with legal and contractual obligations and to fulfil our legitimate interests. Some of your records may be held with your consent. Where we choose to hold such records on consent we will notify you of this when your data is collected and will ask for you to agree to this. We will also inform you how you can withdraw your consent if you wished to do so.

  1. The length of time that we will retain your data will vary depending upon the purpose for which it is processed.
